Die Gewinner-Filme bei British Shorts 2013 stehen fest!
Der Jurypreis – Bester Kurzfilm
Die Festivaljury bestehend aus Regisseurin Cynthia Beatt ("Cycling the Frame" und "The Invisible Frame" mit Tilda Swinton), Dokumentarfilmer George Lindt ("Beijing Bubbles" und "Wir werden immer weitergehen") und Schauspieler Axel Hartwig ("Puppe, Icke und der Dicke" und "Beziehungsweisen") hat sich entschieden: Der Preis für den besten Film bei "British Shorts" 2013 geht an den Film "Abuelas" von Afarin Eghbal. Ein Statement der Regisseurin des Siegerfilms:
I had a good look at the programme for this year's British Shorts Film Festival Berlin – and I was truly impressed with the quality of the shorts and the programming at this year's festival. Berlin has really been treated to a great selection this year, and so it was really an honour just to have my film screened among such other great films. To now learn that "Abuelas" has won the Jury Award for Best Short Film – well, I am simply blown away! What a huge privilege and honour – I am absolutely thrilled! I am only sorry that I cannot be there with you in person to accept the award and celebrate with you – though I am certainly there in spirit! Das Publikum hat ebenfalls entschieden und nach Auszählung der Stimmzettel aller Screenings steht fest: Der Publikumspreis für den besten Kurzfilm bei "British Shorts" 2013 geht an den Film "Indoor" von Si & Ad.
